Often a problem with software :-} Thanks for reminding me about the "what
combinations ..." section of the set-up dialogue. I have updated the .profiles
(attached) and it already delivers results much closer to what I was trying for.

What I (now/still) don't understand, though, is why the <label> value is not
being rendered in white, bold in .pdf or WebHelp output: the updated .profile
includes the line

<value style="color: #FFFFFF; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal;
text-align: center;">label</value>

XXE did exactly what you have instructed it to do in the "riskAssessment"
profile found in "riskColour.profiles".

First screenshot is your original "riskColour.profiles". If you carefully read
the spec of profile "riskAssessment", it's not difficult to guess that you want
to exclude all elements not having props="high".

Second screenshot is a modified "riskColour.profiles" (also attached to this
email). If you carefully read the spec of modified profile "riskAssessment",
it's not difficult to guess that I want to flag all elements having
props="high" or "medium" or "low" or "label".

If you want to use attached "riskColour.profiles", please do not forget to
execute "File|Save As" on it to recreate the underlying ".ditaval" files.

After I did this and then associated profile "riskAssessment" found in
"riskColour.profiles" to my "Test.ditamap", I converted my map to PDF and got
attached "Test.pdf".
