I do use the Docbook toolbar rarely. Reading
http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/docbook/docbook_toolbar.html
I cannot find keyboard shortcuts (which may exist though).

My proposal is intended for technical writers primarily focusing on
keyboard rather than on mouse based actions. So I'd typically hit
"Ctrl-j", enter a (short) filter string and choose from the remaining
elements using the arrow keys. Probably like hundreds of other XMLMind
users as well.

I do understand that replacing "contains" by "begin with" imposes a
delicate change in the user interface and may become subject to confusion.
