We have Retina Macs and we can confirm that there are no scrolling
issues with Oracle Java 1.8.0_66 on a Retina Mac El Capitan.
Looks like retina display has some issues now.
In fact, not really.
With Apple Java 1.6.0_65, on a Retina Mac El Capitan, the default scroll
mode is "simple", and with this scroll mode, there are no scrolling
issues whatsoever.
The questions left unanswered are now:
* Are there scrolling issues with XXE v6.5+ with *Apple* *Java*
1.6.0_65, on a *non-Retina* Mac El Capitan (like the Macs of Andy Black
and his coworkers)?
* And if this is the case, does a specific scroll mode ("simple",
"blit", "backingstore") suffice to fix the problem?
