I recently purchased XML Mind and have found that the
HTML Help function is not working. I cannot output files to HTML Help.
I went to the Microsoft site to download Htmlhelp.exe here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms669985(v=vs.85).aspx
It seems the .exe is not working, either not downloading properly or not
working with XML Mind.
"Htmlhelp.exe" is an *installer*. (Yes, It should have been called
"setup.exe" by Microsoft.) You must double-click on the file you have
downloaded in order to have the installer create a folder called "HTML
Help Workshop" on your computer.
The .exe file which is used by XMLmind is found in the "HTML Help
Workshop" folder. It's called "hhc.exe" (HHC means HTML Help Compiler).
Once you have successfully installed the "HTML Help Workshop" Microsoft
product, please proceed as follows:
1) Select Options|Preferences, Tools|Helper Applications.
2) Click "Add" in "File types".
3) Specify:
Filename extension (HHP means HTML Help Project):
hhp
Helper application:
"<HTML_Help_Workshop_install_dir>\hhc.exe" "%F"
