Hello Hussein,
We found out we can call the applet's "openDocument" method from another
tab of the browser. It works very well. A scriptable method that would
allow us to make an XML fragment available for the paste command of the
applet would be very useful to us. We currently use an applet to copy
such a fragment to the system clipboard. We would be very happy to get
rid of it.
Thanks.

To use the solution you suggest, we would have to call the XXE applet
(or a javascript function on the XXE applet page) from another
tab/window of the browser. I must say that we still don't know if
we can
do that and if it will work for any browser.
OK. If, in the future, you need more scriptable methods for the XXE
applet, then do not hesitate to ask.
Sure. No problem. However we'll not release an new version of XXE
before 2-3 months (XXE v5.7 was released on July 23, 2013. See
http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/changes.html#v5.7.0).
Therefore, we'll get back to you in a couple of months to describe
what could be the new scriptable methods.
