This message relates to DITA. I'm trying to create a macro command that will allow a user to create a new topic directly from the topicref of a bookmap. I have two questions in that regard: 1. What is the difference between the XXE.new command and the command run by "File> New"? When I run the XXE.new command with the parameters " - - - " I get the expected document template picker, get the chance to navigate in my CMS to the location for the new file and give it a name, but when I try to save it I get a "cannot upload file" error message from my CMS. When I use the "File> New" command everything works as expected.
I cannot reproduce the problem you describe using for example, a WebDAV server. The new file is created (and automatically locked) successfully on the WebDAV server.
In the *stock* XXE, there is no difference between XXE.new and "File > New".
2. Assuming I get question 1 figured out, I'd like to populate the href attribute on the topicref element with the path and name of the new file; will the values used in the XXE.new command be recoverable somehow?
No, this is currently no way to do this. -- XMLmind XML Editor Support List xmleditor-support@xmlmind.com http://www.xmlmind.com/mailman/listinfo/xmleditor-support
