Hi everybody!
I'm newby with RedHat 9.0, and i'm trying to work with it.
I install RedHat, in a P IV 2.4, 768 Mb RAM, with a 40 Gb HDD.
My PC includes a S3 Graphics ProSavage DDR (as shown by Windows) and a monitor Commodore F1770.
When I install Red Hat, I get a video card model that looks like mine, but Monitor appears like "Unprobed monitor" (even Window doesn't recognoised...)
If I choose a Generic monitor, or any other, when I try to access the XWindow system, my monitor go black, and I get in the screen a message (from the monitor, no Linux): "Horizontal Sync: 26.8, Vertical Sync: 42.7" and the system stay working (I can see the led of my HDD in the case)
I browse the web searching the vendor page, but I think it doesn't exist. So, I can't get drivers, or any other support.
I read in a forum that I could configure a Generic monitor witha  Generic video card, but with I did that, I receive a message (from de Xwindow System) telling me I don't have a usable screen.
What can I do? (sorry, I can't set fire my monitor...)

Thanks a lot everybody. Excuse my english, I'm writting from Chile.
