Back to working on this. Hit upon the idea of downloading the source again, then creating said file, then re-compiling and installing. Unfortunately when I entered the command: svn checkout http://scripts.sil.org/svn-public/xetex/TRUNK xetex the xelatex.ini file vanished. Is there something else I should try?
