Hi Mike

About a year ago, some work was done on audio dropouts by some of the EME
fraternity. At the time, the main issue was long dropouts seen in the
syslog file, lasting a number of seconds. The decoder did not attempt to
decode periods containing these, and also wave files were not saved.

Examining our syslogs, we also noted many examples similar to the one from
Marco, where the audio dropout was much shorter and flagged as a 'warning'
rather than as an 'error'. Periods containing these seemed to decode fine,
and wave files were saved.

In discussions with Bill, he commented that short audio dropouts were
unlikely to have any significant effects.

In my own case, long dropouts were perfectly correlated with step changes
in setting PC time with Dimension 4. These have not occurred since Bill
helped me to get Meinberg to work.
