thanks for the precision you have added on this bug. Before, I have tried to reproduce but I was unsuccessful. > some crashes during the first turn of a match does it happen during local or network games ? > and some sound > freezing (unfortunately, I've not been able to understand how to > reproduce these). > I have never noticed problem with sound freezing and you are the first user that reports it :-/ > So, I didn't want to report these bugs without knowing if they were > already fixed. First, graphic and sound artists are not programmers. And if you want to keep them motivated, programmers sometimes have to do some few stuff for that. But I can tell you that it's a very very very small part. Secondly, as the main programmer of Wormux, I can tell you that some bugs have been fixed (you can look at the changelog or on the bugtracker). Unfortunately, not all bugs, sure :-( Anyway, we can not wait for all bugs to be fixed to release a new version. As you have experienced, some bugs are very hard to reproduce, making them difficult to understand and fix. Since September, some work has been done on the trunk to integrate a new physical engine. Unfortunately, we have failed to finish it currently. One may say that it is a lost of times to change the physical engine while other say that it will help to fix the horrible grapple behavior. I'm really sad and I understand that users are disappointed but what can I do ? I'm still trying to solve bugs, to do tasks and so on, but it's free software. I am not paid for that, I do it on my free time and sometimes I'm disappointed too and I'm asking why I still continue to work on it. Thanks a lot for your feedback! Please, continue to fill bugs, to had comments on it. Without this participation from users, it's impossible to sort the bugs. I plan to release 0.8.4 soon. I know this is not of enough quality for you, but it fixes some awful bugs that has appeared in 0.8.3 ... So if you continue to find bugs, please, fill bug reports and give feedback. I will try to my best. Regards, Matt (gentildemon) _______________________________________________ Wormux-dev mailing list Wormux-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/wormux-dev
