Hello,
my name is Pablo Antonio. So far, I've only been a user of Wormux.
However, I'd love to help with development once I get some free time.

The purpose of this email is to give an opinion from the
user-perspective on how Wormux advancement is looking. I installed
Wormux from Ubuntu's repositories two weeks ago - it's called version
0.8-1 there. My girlfriend and I have been playing Wormux almost every
day ever since.

There were some bugs that bothered us, but the game was good overall so
we kept playing. The bugs I'm talking about are the one with the
jetpack[0], some crashes during the first turn of a match and some sound
freezing (unfortunately, I've not been able to understand how to
reproduce these).

So, I didn't want to report these bugs without knowing if they were
already fixed. So I got the latest version from svn, and compiled it -
it's 0.8.4svn. And me and my girlfriend played with it like we did every
day (yes, we are fans of the game).

What did we find? The characters looked a bit better, and it seemed
graphics were enhanced overall. There were new sounds too. However, the
jetpack-related bug was still there, and the sound freezed once or
twice. Something weird happened when walking: sometimes, the character
would keep moving the legs but the position wouldn't change.

So, to sum up, we found a game graphically enhanced, with new sounds,
but with the same bugs, or more, than they were 4 versions before.

It's good to think on improving graphics, the usability. But I think
bug fixes should have a higher priority. Why not concentrate on them?
Graphics and sounds can wait.

Just my humble opinion.
