Yes, you're right :) We have already discussed about that with Kurosu.
Here is a patch that may help a volunteer (Kurosu ?) to finish this task.
Because its the main question on IRC.
Unfortunately, it will not solve the problem for now...
After the 0.8.1 release, the index server(s) will accept 0.8.1-svn,
0.8.1 and 0.8.0. So, some 0.8-svn clients may see the error but older
version (0.8beta4 for example) will only see "the server has rejected
your connection" :-/
