Hi, yeKcim, Kurosu and me agree on releasing soon Wormux 0.8.
Some people may think it's too early to release it but as a developper I see the evolution in the bugs reported and there are far minor than before. Moreover, the last say stable version was 0.7.9 which is now very old and I'm sure that Wormux 0.8 will be better! What are the steps before releasing: 1) update/upload howto play documentation (in .pdf) : DONE (see doc/howto_play) 2) create branch : DONE svn co svn+ssh://[EMAIL PROTECTED]//svn/wormux/branches/0.8-final svn co svn://svn.gna.org/svn/wormux/branches/0.8-final 3) upload a pre-release archive for - the packager to test if everything is good - the translators 4) wait for nearly all translations to be ok. Some translators can be on hollydays or not interested in updating anymore the translation - wait at most 2 weeks -> deadline is May 15th 5) create a release branch 6) create the final source archive and upload it 7) inform all packagers than we are ready to release 8) collect packages 9) update the website and release 0.8 :) WARNING: some bug fixes may appear on the branch but strings are frozen! Thus, if you see problem in english translation, they will be fixed on trunk but not on the branch to avoid fuzzy translations, sorry for english users. Developers are advised to not modify strings (even on the trunk) between the period of releasing. lynxlynxlynx, you do a very good job checking/updating translations, could you contact translators and inform us when the step 4 is reached ? Regards, Matt (gentildemon) PS: I will do step 3 in a few minutes... _______________________________________________ Wormux-dev mailing list Wormux-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/wormux-dev
