"Wolny" also means "slow" and I will never translate "free" as "wolny", since something for free is something which should be translated as "darmowe". This translation was done like that for the reason. I know it sounds bad, but "wolny" sounds even worse. > Since "free" in Polish occurs as few words, each witch specific, > non-inclusive meaning, it shouldn't be written twice. > In theory, yes. But please see English version: "Wormux is *free* (under GPL <http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html> license) and *free* (no cash)." As you can see word "free" here is also written twice. You can complain that translation is exact, but I don't think it should be changed. At least it shouldn't be changed until someone comes up with *better* translation. "Wolny" is definitely not the right example. > Please correct that yourself or contact your translator citing this message. > I won't "correct" this, since I believe the translation you provide is not OK. I don't understand why people are translating it this way, > Thanks, > WhizzKid > Thanks for this, but please try to come up with better idea. "Wolne oprogramowanie" makes me laugh. If I were to translate it back to English, I will write "slow and buggy software" (which is unfortunately true for many GPL-ed applications).
