Hi Phil,

For patches i use the related bundle action as patch and leave the GUID the
same, this is how its removing the patches when removing the main bundle.

When installaing a major upgrade (a new major release) the related bundle
guid changes and the action goes back to detect. i leave the upgrade code in
the bundle the same and it does remove the older main bundle but it leaves
the patchs bundle.

For that i created a custom action that will remove the registry entries
under microsoft uninstall key that are left over (the ARP shows these keys),
after deleting them they are no longer in the ARP.

I thought Wix should handle removing the patches entries itself but i didn't
find anything about it.

If you have a different approach it will be welcomed, in the mean time i am
using the custom action.

thanks
