Hi Phil, Great explanation & thank you. First, I agree with you that I didn't target the x64 bit and I didn't define the @Win64 properly but when i tried the installer on Windows 8 32 bit i had the same problem.
Second, I agree with you that the dependencies for Microsoft.Expression.Interactions.dll could be a problem. But in windows 8 it's already installed .net 4.0 & greater..besides I have included System.Windows.Interactivity.dll file too. I was surprised that the installation went well on Windows 8 32 bit but the application functions are not working when i opened the UI. When I checked into the Event log file, it showed the 'XML parse error'. I'll debug further more.
