@Christopher: Think a Side-By-Side approach supported by the WiX Installation for the different versions 3.0, 3,5 and 3.6 would be great. But it is not implemented right now and I assume it will not be implemented for 3.6 as currently the 3.6 builds do a major upgrade of 3.5.
To workaround did you try following: - Install newest WiX 3.6 Build for having the newest Votive plugin - Create folders including different WiX versions as described in "Integrating WiX Projects Into Daily Builds" ( http://wix.sourceforge.net/manual-wix3/daily_builds.htm ) - Afterwards change the .wixproj to the WiX version you are using in your projects (3.0.xxxx.x) - Try to build it For me that worked at first glance when installing a WiX 3.6.1314.0 on VS2010 for the Votive plugin.
