Hi All, Our software has to install a large number(more than 50,000) of files at target machine and We followed one component per file strategy(as recommended by WIX and MSI). While doing major upgrades it consumes a lot of time(sometimes 30 minutes) on some of the screens.
I want to compress some folders (holding larger number of files 25000) and make a single file and then include the compresses file into msi installer. After installer finishes, I want to decompress this compressed file. My questions is : Is there any way in WIX to decompress the file after installation completes ?
