Hi everybody,

I'm trying to use WIX to generate a patch for an installer created using
Visual Studio 2008. It's a simple patch that updates a single file. I
started with an all-wix approach using pyro. After some trial and error I
managed to create a patch. When I install it however I get an error: 2920.
If I open the original MSI in Orca and view the transformation applied by
the patch then everything looks honky dory until I get to the Media table.
The LastSequence number is negative and the cabinet name appears in the
VolumeLabel column.

I've managed to create a working patch using MSIMSP but it is not as focused
as the other patch since it's not possible to target a single component (or
at least I haven't found a way to do so) using MSIMSP.

Does this problem ring a bell? Is pyro expecting the schema to be of a
scpecific version (the MSI I have uses the 200 schema) ?

Bestu kveðjur / Best Regards / Venlig hilsen
