Hello, I noticed a recent discussion about legal aspects of writing an extension for MySQL access. While MySQL is GPLed/dual licensed , for client libraries there is FOSS exception list http://www.mysql.com/about/legal/licensing/foss-exception/ Basically, once can use/link to libmysql, provided your project is using one of the licenses mentioned in the list. CPL is on the list, and my interpretation (IANAL) is that it would be fine to use MySQL Client library inside WiX.
