Thank you, Alex. That was the problem. FindRelatedProducts is working and only one entry exists in the Add or Remove Programs table after the installation of the new version. Now, along with "Do not change the Product UpgradeCode," I have "Verify that the Product UpgradeCode is identical to the Upgrade ID" in my upgrade checklist. My gratitude goes also to Phil, Stephen and Michael.
