This one comes up from time to time... It was mentioned a couple of times that
some old but still functional Novell file servers have that limitation and if
MSI dropped supporting it, it would be impossible to install those packages
from those network servers. Probably a moot point for all but a dozen people on
the planet but Windows has always been plagued with backward compatibility
constraints far too long...
