CloseApps CustomAction gives you just about everything you need. You'll need to tweak it a bit to get a Property set.

Hi, I'd like my installer to display an error if a user tries to start an installation while a certain application is running (like Internet Explorer, for example). Is it possible to detect whether an application or process is running with WiX and build a condition from it? Thanks, Colin ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
