Hello All, I have found out the exact problem area.
The problem was not in my service. I had set all the required version related information in the resource file. I was using MSConfig.exe with the version 5.1. I installed the same service on Windows Vista and Windows 2003, where it was showing the manufacturer name properly. So, I ran MSConfig.exe from Windows 2003 server (version 5.2) on Windows XP and it showed the manufacturer name. Hence, my observation is, the few services (the same problem I observed in case of Anti-virus related services that are installed on my system), if observed on MSConfig.exe with the version 5.2 or above, show actual manufacturer name; while on version 5.1, they show manufacturer as unknown.
