Hello Lists! How practical is it to use Wt with mingw-w64? Are there pre-built Wt binaries for a recent mingw-w64 toolchain? Would I expect the build process to be reasonably smooth if I try to build Wt myself?
I see reference to mingw-w64 on the Wt wiki: http://redmine.webtoolkit.eu/projects/wt/wiki/Installing_Wt_on_MinGW It talks primarily about the TDM toolchain. Also, it references gcc 4.7.1 and boost 1.5.2, so I'm guessing that the wiki entry is a couple of years old. All it says about mingw-w64 (or more specifically, "mingwbuild") is that you have to "[work] around some compilation/linking issues." There are some comments about mingw-w64 in the mail archive for this list, but they are mostly about (unsolved) problems. Is Wt likely to work with mingw-w64, or would I be asking for trouble to try it? Thanks. K.
