That is what I was afraid of. So, at least with cisco I need to use all of the same flavor of AP. I can live with that but I need to understand it.
Yes, it seems that they need the same flavor of software installed. The 350, 1100 and 1200 series APs can all run IOS and repeat each other... The 350 series used to come with VxWorks, instead, but IOS can be installed to replace it.
