I sent a mail last week asking about a connector on an ASUS WL-330, didn't get any responses. JUst recently picked up a Dlink DWL-730AP which is TINY! It has a nice range of features & will act as client , AP, or "Router", ONe of the really nice features besides it's compact size is the inclusion of a USB cable that can power the device. It's about the size of a credit card & really thin, only enlarging for the Ethernet cable port. This device like the like the Asus seems to be based upon a Marvell chipset, from a thread on NZwireless seems some 3com units use the same connector.

Here's the post comparing the connector to the 3 com connectors. The FCC docs were no help.

" "This unit's always intrigued me, it seema the radio is stonger than I thought about 100mw. It.. "uses Marvell's Libertas 802.11b Access Point Solution made up of the ARM9-based 88W8500 processor and CMOS 88W8000 transceiver", for those familiar with that design. It has built in diversity antennas and apparently some sort of conncector which I'd be wanting to use for an external antenna. Here's the pic of the PCB..."
