I've used a Rubbermaid Roughneck/Roughtote plastic storage box to house one Linksys WRT54G router outdoors in Minnesota for the past 8 months (mid-spring until now) with no rain/heat/cold problems. I picked the box up at a local Menards (a home improvement store, like Home Depot) for less than $4. The plastic box is rated to zero degrees F and I haven't had any problems yet this winter (we've only had a few days below zero so far). I think I'm using the '3 Gallon 16" x 10 3/4" x 7" Dark Indigo RubbermaidŽ Roughneck', and I've put my WRT54G whole inside the box. I didn't want to remove the WRT54G's shell because that'd void the 3 year warranty. I ran CAT5 and AC to the box and put the AC adapter inside the box with the WRT54G. Finally, I used 3 bungee cords (IIRC they were 2 12" cords used widthwise and 1 36" cord used lengthwise around the box) to ensure that the storage box's snap-on lid stayed in place if animals or wind tried to lift it. I've also weighed the box down with some bricks on top, as the box isn't permanently attached to anything. I'm running Sveasoft Satori on the WRT54G in WDS mode at 84 mw to connect to another WRT54G. -Haudy Kazemi P.S.
