Dave,

It is Verizon's CDMA solution. 144kbps is maximum physical theoritical limit
for this technology. With many people sharing same channel for data as well
as voice along with MAC and  TCP retransmissions  average typical speed is
going to be 40-50kbps.

I was wondering if anyone in the Bay Area has used Verizon's CDPD.  What
I'm interested in is performance.  They claim 144kbps, but in the fine
print, it says 40 to 60 kbps...
