Hi,

You simply run
fwget
these days and it will install the right firmware package.

If you want to build it yourself fwget -n would show you which flavour
it would install for you. Altneratively man iwlwififw can ell you if
you check yout PCI IDs from pciconf -l output yourself.
Lastly loading the iwlwifi driver would tell and complain which firmware
it cannot find.

That said you'll likely want the 22000 flavour.

In the unlikely chance the firmware is missing currently, I have a task
for next week to fix some of that; see
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=284475

Hope that helps, otherwise please let me know.

That seems to work.
fwget indeed suggested the 22000 flavor (for my AX201).

dmesg reports:

iwlwifi0: successfully loaded firmware image 'iwlwifi-QuZ-a0-hr-b0-77.ucode'
iwl-debug-yoyo.bin: could not load binary firmware
/boot/firmware/iwl-debug-yoyo.bin either

Great, let us know if hw_crypto and HT/VHT work (see the other threads
going on here in parallel).

Lots of joy,
