:Subject: [WinPcap-users] installer, silent installer
:
:
:1. Do installer and silent installer always put program into C drive?

I'm looking after the configuration and release of a few product and got the
chance to use InstallShield to package the products;)

As for your question, it all depends on how the author implement it. There
are functions to return current working directory, current system drive, and
event current "program files" location. By default, the install location is
under current "program files" of current system location. But it can be
change to anything you like.

:2. In some situations the silent installer reboots the Windows XP
:computer. How to avoid these situations?
:

Again, it's a design decision to be made by the author. At the time install
package is authored, there is a multiple choice question the author has to
answer and you just wish a right choice was made;)
But when the installer is running, it should alway ask your permission
before proceed to reboot the computer for attended installation.

If you're using WISE installer, I assume it does similar things;)

Cheers,
WWang
