A follow up to my immediately prior posting. I should add that I am familiar with the statement on the FAQ: "Wireless adapters are not granted to work, etc.".
I should have stated my questions as: 1) Are there any known workarounds to getting winpcap to work in general with wireless lans? For example, can wireless lan NICs be forced into an Ethernet emulation mode so that winpcap can capture successfully (the Ethernet emulation mode which is mentioned in the FAQ)? 2) Does anyone know the specific cause of why packets would only be captured in one direction? 3) Does anyone know the makes of wireless NICs that are known to work well with winpcap?
