Are there any known issues with winpcap and WLAN / 802.11 NICs? Are there
any problems in general with winpcap and wireless lans, or are there any
known problems with specific wireless NICs?
I've tried capturing with several different laptops on wireless lans
without much success. I am interested in seeing traffic that is either
sourced or destined to the laptop where I am capturing, but typically I am
only able to capture traffic going in one direction (though I know IP
traffic is being sent and received by the laptop over the wireless lan).
Example configuration where I could only capture traffic in one direction:
Machine: Toshiba 7200 CT running Windows 2000
Wireless NIC: Lucent Wavelan Gold card
Example configuration where I could successfully capture traffic (both sent
traffic and received traffic):
Machine: Dell C610 laptop running Windows 2000
Wireless NIC: Linksys Instant Wireless Network PC Card v2.5
Any advice? (Apologies if I've overlooked something obvious in my searching).
