Hi, You don't need to compile the sources to be able to use winpcap, you can use the already compiled drivers and libraries provided in the distribution.
The SDK is the "Microsoft Platform SDK", which is available for download on the Microsoft web site (msdn.microsoft.com -> downloads -> SDKs -> Platform SDK). It's mostly a big collection of header files, libraries, documentation, and samples. Hope that helps, Jacques.
