Dear all

I wanted to update you on some of the issues with QRpedia and the work
that's being undertaken to resolve these by one of our developers. We
originally created a solution to the double-encoding issue based on an
older release, and are now merging this into the current codebase (this
merge is currently being tested). More generally we are taking the
opportunity to add a test suite to define the expected behaviour, and add
some basic developer documentation.

Whilst our developer spent some time working on QRpedia earlier this year,
in recent months the priority has been on other WMUK technology projects.
I’m sorry if this has resulted in a feeling that the tool is not being
supported or maintained, which isn’t the case. I do appreciate people’s
frustration regarding ongoing issues and we are working to address these.

Best wishes

Lucy
