Dear Wikimedians, Greetings from Wikimania 2026 COT <https://wikimania.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/2026:Organizers>! We are excited to inform you that registration for Wikimania 2026 <https://wikimania.wikimedia.org/wiki/2026:Wikimania> will be opening soon. We will open registration much earlier than in previous years –and with an added step to allow for more in-depth trust and safety checks for in-person attendance. This year we will be introducing a “request for invitation” system. If you are interested in attending the event in Paris, we encourage you to submit your request for invitation as soon as possible. Trust and safety checks will be conducted on a rolling basis, and confirmation emails will be sent within 14 days of submission. You can read more about this process on the Wikimania Wiki <https://wikimania.wikimedia.org/wiki/2026:Registration>, and ask questions on the talk page <https://wikimania.wikimedia.org/wiki/2026_talk:Registration>.
