As discussed during the last two South Asia Open Community Calls (Feb and March), the upcoming April call will focus on a discussion with the Wikimedia Foundation leadership about their Annual Plan (2026-2027). <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Foundation_Annual_Plan/2026-2027> The Foundation’s Annual Plan <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Foundation_Annual_Plan>is a high-level roadmap for what the organisation aims to achieve in the coming year. It includes not only the foundation’s Goals, Progress, and plan but also a summary of Global Trends that impact the present and future of our movement. We invite you to engage deeply in these conversations so that the South Asian perspective can truly evolve through its own voices. Some of you may have attended these Annual Planning discussions in the past or contributed to them online. As with every year, the Wikimedia Foundation is asking community members to shape this plan together; as the South Asian Community, our hopes, concerns, bold ideas, and specific requests will help guide the Foundation’s planning for the future.
