Please report this at bugs.wesnoth.org.
I don't know if this can easily be fixed before 1.8 since it will make those
units, that are currently translated appear untranslated ingame (the "female^"
part does make a difference). At least it will easily be fixable for 1.8.1 and
it won't be forgotten once it is in the bug tracker.
