Eric is already working on this. In general many strings already have such
comments, though mainly in trunk. Beside this esr is working on a new
wmlxgettext version that does put those extracted comments into the po files. So
far I have not had any time to test if the script really does what it should,
but eventually I will come to it...

PS: If in doubt, have a look at the strings in the WML files (reference is
always noted at the strings in the po files!). Many already got some comment (eg
the stuff in SoF).
