Hi everyone, I live in a regional area in Australia and rely on satellite for broadband.
Australia is currently experiencing some *interesting* weather conditions with some places receiving up to 700mm of rain in 30 minutes (my worst was 38mm in 10 minutes - so far!). Needless to say, this plays havoc with the satellite data link. Blackouts are also a problem with the latest one extending to 17 hours. I'm planning to install a UPS to cover my router, GW2000, Rpi4 (weewx) and a Gigabit switch, but NOT the satellite modem. I assume that the GW1000 driver for weewx will continue to collect data from the GW2000 for as long as the UPS holds up, but obviously my website wont get updated nor will data go to Ecowitt (or WU). Can someone confirm I'm correct in this belief, please? I'm planning on upgrading to the GW3000 when it become available in this country (some time after April). Cheers.
