Agree - a wiki article on this would be great to see. The one detail I can find is (here) <https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=40437.msg418096#msg418096> which mentions the URL to fake out, but my recollection from back then is there's also a ntp server it needs to hit periodically to prove Internet connectivity (or else the watchdog reboots it). The original problem report mentioning ntp is (here) <https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=40437.msg415148#msg415148> as well in that long thread on wxforum.net.
