Is Ted using an old version of the wolifecycle-maven-plugin? For the
build.properties thing to function, it has to have a patch from a very
cool guy named Paul Hoadley or it won't work ;) That was about 3.5 years
ago though, so he may have even forgot he even wrote it by now :D

I'm frequently forgetful as well. I can relate.
If Ted is using the old wolifecycle, then he will be able to launch in
Eclipse using vm args, but when he does a ./MyWoApp.sh it's gonna
fail... because the wolifecycle didn't write those args into the launch
script during the build.
