I think this is a great idea (as I use exclusively Debian :-) and
think the next step is to create the package (respecting Debian
guidelines), host it in some repo we own (it can be apt.web2py.com)
and so try to submit to Debian oficial repository.
I think with all work done it'll be more easy to accept.
