Hi Karl,

it would be best if you could find an ODBC driver that supports
Unicode (it was I added in ODBC 3).
I googled a little (I don't have a Mac to try it myself), and found
this link

http://unixodbc.darwinports.com/

Let me know if that doesn't work,,
