Thanks Massimo, Wow now i got one more new ingredient in the stew... pyAMF. If possible I don't want to learn flash. just python and its frameworks...
I want the game to run in a browser and on the desktop with both connecting to a common game server so that a player using a browser can play anther player using the desktop client. Therefore it seems that pyjamas and pyjamas-desktop are most suitable. Also I want chat, and database-driven player list (on-line, off-line, level, wins, losses), login authorization, chat, etc). To see what I want, take a look at http://www.chesspark.com (although my game is completely different from chess). It has all of that and it seems that they just used Python and twisted.
