While watching "Wedding Bells for Aunt Bee" I spotted something that shows just how detailed oriented the producers of TAGS were when it came to their sets. When Aunt Bee and Clara Edwards were putting away the groceries, Clara opens a kitchen drawer ( I said kitchen drawer - not kitchen door) and puts the paper sack in it. I noticed a box in the back of the drawer with some words on it. So I reversed the video and paused when it showed the drawer open. The box said Scotkins on it. Now I wasn't familiar with that name so I goggled it and found an old advertisement for it. Scotkins were pastel colored paper table napkins that came in assorted colors to match any plate color. How easy it would have been for the set people to just have an empty drawer in the kitchen. But being the great people they were they added that little detail that I imagine most viewers would never notice. Everyone keeps saying I have too much time on my hands, and I guess this once again proves them correct. But it sure is fun discovering all those little details that makes TAGS watching so very special. Much more interesting than whale watching or star gazing.
