@michael: if you wish to do so I wont stop you, having some designers work
on a new layout for wave would be nice.
What are the deadlines?
An unofficial deadline for Apache projects is 9-13th May which aligns
with ApacheCon. I believe this is easily achievable.
Where can versions of the logo be found?

What about hosting?
Hosting is provided by Apache at no cost to the project.
What system is used to build the project?
Currently we are using the Apache cms tool which was designed in house
but we have the option to use any system we wish too as long as it creates
static files, so jekyll is perfectly fine.
Templates?
Personally I would be happier with a custom template rather than a
stock one, creating a design using web frameworks like foundation or
bootstrap has made this much easier.
What about the documentation html exports?
These are easily customised (why we chose sphinx) and will follow suit
with the new design or an alternative "documentation design".
Goals?
Advertise, Inform, Educate ;) . This project is creating a product
which eventually will be a Wave server and a standardised Wave client for
multiple platforms.
I'm no designer, most I can do is critique or implement so I'll just chuck
in these links of designs which i believe allow the "advertise, educate"
style.
