Yes, it is exactly what I have in mind. A bit more reasoning into this, from my part:
Public tags are immensely useful for collaborative categorization, but they somehow limit a user's autonomy in organizing his own waves. You're always dependent on what other people might tag your wave as, and some tags might not make any sense at all from your perspective (I've personally seen waves with over 20 public tags, which is not very helpful when it comes to searching). Personal tags akin to Gmail labels would let users organize their waves in a way that didn't mess with other users' categorizations and would probably make searching for waves much simpler from a user's point of view. Folders, on the other hand, are way too static and constrain far too much (e.g. no free-form categorization, only hierarchical, harder to give multiple categories to a wave in an intuitive manner). Of course, personal tags would be even better with Gmail-like automatic filters, but that's a whole other level. :-) Cheers! -- João Neves On Sat, Mar 12, 2011 at 00:39, Rafael Gorski <rafa.gor...@gmail.com> wrote: > Zachary, > I was thinking about that, but re-reading the explanations regarding > proposition is different, the people are proposing the other way to > classify > the waves like the ""labels" currently used by Gmail and Gdocs. > > //Rafael Gorski > > On Fri, Mar 11, 2011 at 9:25 PM, Zachary "Gamer_Z."
