Pim,
In the log I see IPv6 link-local multicast traffic. Why is end to end multicast needed for this setup? There's new work ongoing in the LinuxCP plugin which currently supports creating the interfaces in a linux namespace, and all input and output features work in this plugin. However, the code for netlink has been proposed and is under review but hasn't been finished yet. I have confirmed FRR (and Bird) do work with the new LinuxCP for both IPv4 and IPv6. Personally, I think investing in the old plugins is not a good time investment at the moment. groet, Pim On Mon, Mar 15, 2021 at 8:58 PM Mohsen Meamarian <meamarian.moh...@gmail.com <mailto:meamarian.moh...@gmail.com> > wrote: Hello, I'm trying to setup a BGP router using VPP with the router and netlink plugins and frrouting.org <http://frrouting.org> . A lot of things are already working, but it looks like OSPF IPv6 packets are not being received by the OSPF6 daemon in FRR. On my old BGP routers I see the following in a tcpdump: 17:14:36.442928 IP6 fe80::230:48ff:fe7d:77ce > ff02::5: OSPFv3, Hello, length 44 17:14:36.443458 IP6 fe80::230:48ff:fe33:784e > ff02::5: OSPFv3, Hello, length 44 17:14:39.123074 IP6 fe80::225:90ff:fee3:da3e > ff02::5: OSPFv3, Hello, length 36 fe80::225:90ff:fee3:da3e is my new router with VPP and FRR. On my new router I only see: 15:17:04.148969 IP6 fe80::225:90ff:fee3:da3e > ff02::5: OSPFv3, Hello, length 36 Has anyone done anything with this before? -- Pim van Pelt <p...@ipng.nl <mailto:p...@ipng.nl> > PBVP1-RIPE - http://www.ipng.nl/
