Hoi Mohseen,

It was my understanding that multicast is not implemented end to end for
the router plugin. There's new work ongoing in the LinuxCP plugin which
currently supports creating the interfaces in a linux namespace, and all
input and output features work in this plugin. However, the code for
netlink has been proposed and is under review but hasn't been finished yet.
I have confirmed FRR (and Bird) do work with the new LinuxCP for both IPv4
and IPv6. Personally, I think investing in the old plugins is not a good
time investment at the moment.

groet,
Pim
